The following courses are for senior cadets and are considered "National Summer Training Courses":
• International Air Cadet Exchange (IACE)
• Power Pilot Scholarship (PPS)
• Glider Pilot Scholarship (GPS)
• Advanced Aviation Technology - Airport Operations (AATC-AO)
• Advanced Aviation Technology - Aircraft Maintenance (AATC-AM)
• Advanced Aerospace Course (AASC)
• Oshkosh Trip
Cadets interested in applying for these courses should:
• Read the 2011 Need to Know Booklet for applicants. This is a reasonably short document with some information to help the Cadet understand the process of National Course application and selection. This can be found at: http://www.aircadetleague.on.ca/Storage/27/1918_2011_Need_to_Know_Guide_-_MASTER.PDF
• Ensure that they have met all the prerequisites as outlined in the Air Cadet Summer Opportunities Brochure
• Submit the following to Capt Graham by 12 Jan 11 in order to be considered:
- A narrative (as outlined on pages 5 & 6 of the Need to Know Booklet).
- A copy of their high school transcript
- A completed DND 2226 (Air Cadet Summer Training Application). This may be obtained from the office.
