Saturday May 30th is the date for the Annual Ceremonial Review. Cadets are to be at 450 Tactical Helicopter Squadron at Garrison Petawawa for 0800 hrs. The Review start at 1300 hrs but we ask that guests be seated by 1230 hrs.
Cadets are to come in civilian clothing but must bring their complete uniform to change into prior to the parade. Lunch will be provided for the cadets.
Please be advised that all people driving onto the Garrison will need to provide ID at the main gate upon entry. A drivers license will suffice.
Although you will be able to use cell phones for that day at the squadron, please be advised that that is only for use as a camera. Your other services will probably not work while in the secured area.
Directions to 450 Squadron are as follows:
Take Petawawa Boulevard to the main entrance to Garrison Petawawa. Once you drive on to the Garrison, Petawawa Boulevard turns into Menin Road. Continue on Menin Road and turn right on Passchendale Road. Continue on Passchendale Road for approximately 3.5 km and turn left on Brindle Road. Take the first right after you have turned on Brindle Road. This will lead you to Building CC-128. The main entrance is on the left side of the building as you arrive. You can't miss the flags. You can park anywhere on the main parking lot.
These directions can also be found at the bottom of the letter that went home with cadets on Wednesday.

Wednesday May 27/15
1. The Annual Ceremonial Review takes place this Saturday May 30th. Info can be found in another post.
2. The money and forms for the Annual Cadet/Parent Dinner that takes place on June 10/15, need to be back to the squadron no later than June 3/15. You may also bring the info on Saturday. There will be no returns or additions past the 3rd of June.
3. Final Challenge permission forms are due by the 3rd of June. |Space is limited at this time. Again, they can be handed in on Saturday.

Wednesday May 20/15
1. Drill team will meet Monday at the Armoury from 1830 - 2030 hrs.
2. The Annual Cadet/Parent Dinner forms and money for tickets need to be handed in ASAP with June 3/15 being the absolute latest.
3. Next week cadets are in civies so that they may get their uniforms up to snuff complete with promotion badges for Annual.
4. Year end trip forms and money needs to be in to the squadron no later than next Wednesday.

Wednesday May 6/15

1.Offers of participation for summer training MUST be handed in ASAP.  If they are not handed in you may lose your opportunity to go to summer camp.

2. Krispy Kreme Fundraiser order forms were due this past week however if you forgot, or would like more time please bring orders in next week.  The order form is on the Facebook page.  Orders must be in no later than next week.

3. The year end trip which takes place June 5-7, permission forms and information package went out on Wednesday.

4.  The spring FTX permission forms also went out on Wednesday.  The FTX takes place May 22-24.  Only seniors will be coming out on the Friday night, all others will come out Saturday morning.

5. Good luck to our drill team travelling to North Bay this weekend for the area competition.

6.  Thank you to all who participated in the past weekends tagging days.  An extra big thank you to 2Lt McGinley for organizing the event.

7. Next week is the start of summer dress.

OAC Scholarship for Aerospace Studies
The Ontario Aerospace Council is pleased to offer two scholarships for the 2015-2016 Academic Year for students going into or currently enrolled in an aerospace studies program at a post-secondary institution (college or university) in Ontario. The value of each scholarship is $1,800.00 CAD.
Who Can Apply?
Q High school students in their final year who are entering an aerospace studies program at an accredited Ontario college or university
Q Students currently enrolled in an aerospace studies program at an accredited Ontario college or university
What is Required for the Application?
Q Essay (500 – 800 words) from applicant stating their interest in aerospace and career aspirations
Q For first year students, a Letter of Acceptance into their chosen academic institution
Q Two letters of reference from community members (teacher, professor, coaches, employer, volunteer leader, etc.)
Q Academic report issued by applicant’s current educational institution for the 2014-2015 Academic Year (most current)
Q Academic achievement of 70% or greater in current year studies

The OAC Scholarship Review Panel will review applications and successful candidates will be advised by May 27, 2015. Scholarships will be presented at OAC’s Golf Tournament on June 1, 2015.
