01 May 2014

Wednesday April 30/14

1. The Rocket Club will meet every Thursday night up to and including Thursday, May 15, 2014 unless otherwise stated. The Rocket Club meets from 1900-2100hrs at the Armoury. The club is open to all cadets in the Squadron. There is a $20.00 fee for cadets who wish to participate in the club. This covers the cost of your rocket (choice of 1 or 3 different styles, 1 rocket engine, all supplies and training necessary to safely build and launch your rocket, 1 supervised launch (date TBC) with an option to purchase additional engines, an invitation to the launch contest (there will be prizes!), and rocket related classes and movie night. Since this is a club and not a competitive team there is no requirement to make it out every Thursday night. Club members are encouraged to attend as many nights as possible, but in fact only about 4 nights are required in order to receive instruction and build your rocket.
2. Cadets who wish to participate in an air rifle range practice and/or attempt to qualify for a marksmanship badge are encouraged to sign up for a Thursday night range practice. Cadets can sign up with Capt Frampton. Range will be held every Thursday night up to and including Thursday, May 15, 2014 unless otherwise stated. Range runs from 1900 to 2100hrs at the Armoury. There WILL BE a range practice on Thursday, May 1, 2014.

4. There will be a special drill team practice this Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Armoury. The practice will take place from 1000hrs to 1400hrs.
